Policies

  • I understand there will be a $55 (or cost of service, whichever is less) fee for any No Show, Last Minute Cancellation (within 24 hours of scheduled appointment). Haute Dog Spa understands that things come up unexpectedly, those situations will be evaluated on a case by case basis. I am responsible for arriving on time to my scheduled appointment or I may be charged with a late fee or will need to reschedule my appointment.

  • I understand that a rabies vaccination is a required for all dogs and cats in the state of Minnesota (only a licensed veterinarian can determine if a pet should not receive the vaccination).

My pet must be current, and I must be able to provide proof with a current vaccination record or Rabies Certificate in order for Haute Dog Spa to provide requested services. If documentation cannot be found, verbal confirmation from the vet will suffice.

  • Haute Dog Spa will not be held responsible for any sickness or injury caused by your pet to itself during grooming. Haute Dog Spa will not be held responsible for unknown allergies the pet may have to products used during grooming, nor will we be held responsible for preexisting health conditions or stressful effects grooming may have upon a geriatric pet.

Haute Dog Spa staff must be notified within 24 hours of any claims regarding compensation for medical attention given as a result of alleged negligence of our staff. In the event of dispute over a claim, Haute Dog Spa will personally consult the attending veterinarian prior to settling any claim.

  • In the event of an emergency, I authorize Premier Pet Salon to immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for my pet at my expense. I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency.

  • I understand that Haute Dog Spa puts my pet’s comfort above all else. In the event that my pet’s coat is matted, I understand that my stylist may have to shave the mats out rather than perform a painful de-matting brush-out, which Haute Dog Spa does not do.

I also understand that if my pet is severely matted, that there is an increased risk for clipper burn or nicks to occur while removing the matting. I understand that all efforts will be made to prevent this, however in cases of extreme matting, it may be unavoidable. I also understand that matted pets take additional time and care to groom so there will be an additional fee added to the regular grooming price if my pet’s coat is matted.

  • I understand that there will be a fee starting at $20 for any specific breed pattern cuts or any coats left an inch or longer. These require extra time and skill.

  • I understand that I will be charge an additional fee (starting at $20) if my pet’s coat is discovered to have an infestation of fleas, ticks, or lice.

  • If my pet is exceedingly anxious or aggressive, my stylist will complete the requested services to the best of their ability but is under no obligation to do so if there is a question of safety for either the stylist or pet.

In addition, there may be a handling fee if an additional stylist is required to assist. I understand that if my pet shows excessive aggression behavior towards the stylists or other pets, Haute Dog Spa reserves the right to refuse service. In this event, I understand that I will be charged a prorated fee for services rendered.

  • I understand that Haute Dog Spa is a by-appointment only salon and I am required to pick up my pet within an hour after completion of services. My stylist will confirm contact info and give me a time estimate for completion of service.

If something comes up, it is my responsibility to communicate with my stylist so that an accommodation can be made. If I fail to pick my pet up the same day of the appointment, I give Haute Dog Spa the right to take my pet to a boarding facility and understand I will be responsible for all associated fees. I further understand that all fees of grooming, boarding, and transport will be due before the pet is released back to the owner.
